Why I Started Writing About Angel Numbers

My interest started with the same question most of my readers ask: why does one number keep showing up, and what could it mean? When I went looking for answers, I kept finding the same few generic lines copied from page to page. Very few guides explained where a meaning came from, how two similar numbers differ, or what a reader could actually do with the message.

So I began keeping my own notes. I compared interpretations across sources, broke each number into its digits, worked out its numerology root, and paid close attention to the real questions people post on forums and in search. CheckAngelNumbers.com is where those notes became public guides.

How I Research and Write Each Guide

Every article follows the same research process, so you can see how a meaning is built instead of taking it on faith.

  1. Reader questions first. Before writing, I study what people are searching for about that number and the questions they ask on Reddit, Quora and in the search results themselves.
  2. Digit by digit breakdown. I look at what each digit represents on its own and how often it repeats, because repetition amplifies a digit’s theme.
  3. Numerology reduction. I add the digits to find the root number, and I keep the master numbers 11, 22 and 33 unreduced. Most angel number sites skip this step. I include it in every guide because it explains why two different numbers can share a theme.
  4. Comparing look-alike numbers. Numbers such as 145, 154 and 451 use the same digits but carry different emphasis. I explain those differences so readers do not confuse them.
  5. Checking established interpretations. I compare my notes with well-known references, including Joanne Walmsley’s Sacred Scribes and traditional Pythagorean numerology, and I say clearly where my view adds to or differs from theirs.
  6. A practical next step. Every guide ends with something you can do: a reflection, a decision to look at, or a habit to try.

A quick example of my method

Take 1991. The digits add up to 1 + 9 + 9 + 1 = 20, and 2 + 0 = 2. So 1991 carries the energy of 1 (beginnings) and 9 (endings), with a root of 2 (partnership and balance). That is why I read it as closing one cycle and choosing your own direction with other people in mind, rather than simply “new beginnings”.

My Editorial Standards

Angel numbers are a spiritual and symbolic subject, and I write about them that way. These are the rules I hold myself to:

  • Interpretation, not prediction. I never claim a number guarantees an outcome in love, money or health. Meanings are offered as guidance for reflection.
  • No professional advice. Nothing on this site replaces advice from a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial adviser.
  • Religious references are framed as symbolism. When I mention biblical meanings, I present them as symbolic readings, not doctrine.
  • Honest sourcing. I name the sources I draw on and give context when a well-known author has changed or withdrawn earlier views.
  • Original writing. Each guide is researched and written for that specific number. I do not reuse one template meaning across different numbers.
  • Regular reviews. I review published guides and show a “Last reviewed” date. If you spot an error, please tell me and I will check and correct it.

Sources I Rely On

  • Joanne Walmsley, Sacred Scribes: long-running interpretations of repeating number sequences
  • Traditional Pythagorean numerology: digit meanings, root numbers and master numbers
  • Biblical and cross-cultural number symbolism, used as symbolic context
  • Real reader questions from search results, Reddit and Quora
  • My own notes on number patterns, collected since 2021

Start With My Most Read Guides

If you are new here, these are the guides readers return to most:

Find your own number

I built the Angel Number Calculator so you can find your personal angel number from your birth date or name, with a short meaning for each result. You can also browse all angel numbers or explore by category: number meanings, mirror numbers, repeating numbers, sequences, clock hours and twin flame numbers.

Common Questions About Me

Are you a certified numerologist?

No. I do not hold a formal numerology certification, and I do not present myself as a psychic. My guides are based on research since 2021, established numerology methods and published interpretations. I explain my method in each article so you can judge it for yourself.

Do you use AI to write the articles?

I use digital tools for research, keyword analysis and formatting, as most publishers do. The research direction, the numerology working, the comparisons and the final review are mine, and I am responsible for everything published under my name.

How often are the guides updated?

I review older guides regularly and refresh them when reader questions change or I find a clearer way to explain a number. Each guide shows its “Last reviewed” date.

Can I suggest a number or report a mistake?

Yes. Please use the contact page. Reader suggestions have already shaped several guides on this site.
